Preview Features#

Preview features are added so that users can try out new features and provide feedback about them before they become the default experiences. Users can opt in and out of preview features at any time and entirely at their discretion. We would encourage you to give preview features a try whenever possible and then use the feedback mechanism to let us know what you think. This will help us to provide the best possible experience to everyone when the feature is released.

You can turn available preview features on and off at any time from your My Account page.

The following features were updated in preview:

Mentoring#

The mentoring functionality is designed to allow the school to manage their mentoring efforts with students. Staff can create new mentoring forms and assign them to groups of students across the school. Student’s will then be prompted to complete their assigned forms and submit them to their form tutors for review. Form tutors can then review the responses from students, add their own responses to staff only questions and mark the form as complete where it then becomes part of the student’s record. Staff with permissions can then view all completed forms for a student, form tutors can see their form groups mentoring forms on the dashboard and heads of year via the year groups overview.

Senior leaders can track progress of response groups to allow them to chase students or staff members as needed to complete their forms. Users are also automatically notified when the deadline for their forms is approaching and they have outstanding answers.

The following updates were applied in this release:

Mentoring Forms#

  • Fixed an issue causing an error message to be displayed when the an editable role was chosen.

  • Added a new confirmation box when a user is returning a response to a student to avoid staff accidentally using the wrong option.

  • Added an alert to the top of the response page that is only visible to staff users providing them with a single click way to report a concern to the safeguarding team.
