Learning Activities#

Learning Activities are a way for you to assign the learning activities that relate to a particular homework task to that task. They can be used by the school to ensure that a broad range of activities are being set increasing the engagement of students and therefore the learning potential of homework tasks within the school.

Creating a Learning Activity#

To create a learning activity select the Learning Activities option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. The current list of learning activities will be loaded.

To add a new learning activity, click the create button on the tables action bar. This will load the create view.

You must enter at least a name for the learning activity but it’s recommended that you provide additional context within the description so that staff know when to use a certain activity with a homework task. Once complete click the save button to create the new learning activity. You’ll be returned to the learning activities list and see a green popup message confirming the activity was created.

Editing a Learning Activity#

To edit an existing learning activity select the Learning Activities option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. This will load the current list of learning activities.

To update the values simply click the column of the table you’d like to update and enter the new value in the displayed edit area. Once complete, click out of the edit area and the learning activity will be updated automatically. A green popup message will confirm the changes were saved.

Deleting a Learning Activity#

To delete an existing learning activity select the Learning Activities option from the Configuration Lists section of the side menu. This will load the current list of learning activities.

Select the desired learning activity by checking the corresponding checkbox and clicking the delete icon on the tables action bar. You’ll be asked to confirm the action before the learning activities are deleted.

The following permissions control access to the learning activity configuration:

  • Delete Learning Activities

  • Manage Learning Activities
