Detention Management Dashboard#
The detention management dashboard allows users who have been assigned as a manager of a given detention severity level to manage all detentions regardless of who the owner is. This is specifically useful if the school choose to run a detention system where designated staff members monitor detentions on given days. This can help to reduce the workload on staff who set detentions to their students and give staff back more of their time.
Detentions for today will be automatically loaded when the dashboard loads. You’ll see a list of all of the students that have a detention of the selected severity level on that day, grouped by their time slots.
You can mark a student as either attended or missed by clicking the corresponding icons.
To change the day you’re viewing detentions for, click the next or previous buttons respectively.
Tip
You’ll see a severity level drop down at the top of the page showing all of the severity levels that you’ve got permission to access.
Tip
When marking a detention as missed that’s owned by someone else that member of staff will receive a notification letting them know that the student missed the detention and that they need to assign appropriate repercussions.
