Session Attendance#

Session attendance from the compulsory AM and PM registration within the school are synced from SIMS if you have any module enabled. We sync the attendance for the purposes of display on the parent/contact/carer, student and staff dashboards.

What Data is Imported#

The following details of the session attendance are imported, they are imported as held for the current academic year.

  • Date - The session attendance date.

  • ID - Mapped to a hidden field and used to identify the session attendance record. (This field isn’t visible to users)

  • Mark - The attendance mark for the session.

  • Session Name - The sessions name (either AM or PM).

  • Student ID - The students id from SIMS. (Used to link the attendance to a student)

Permissions#

The following SIMS permissions are required for the sync to complete successfully:

  • Attendance -> Pupils -> Pupil Focus

  • Students -> Attendance -> View (All)

The permissions required by other sync processes are also required. All permissions required for:

  • Staff member syncing

  • Student syncing

  • Year groups syncing
